Hi there! My name is Danielle Sweet and I’m an aspiring middle school language arts teacher. I was born and raised in the diverse area of Northern Virginia and love that I get to meet such a variety of individuals in all walks of my life. It’s taught me to value the differences in others and respect the richness that diversity adds to our communities.
I am pursuing a degree in Curriculum and Instruction in Secondary Education, English, at George Mason University. Currently, I work full time (not as a teacher) and am enjoying life as a new mom. Some of my favorite things, in no particular order, are as follows: the smell of old books, cooking anything and everything, hiking, reading, dressing up for Halloween (can you tell?), watching movies, and going out and about for mini adventures with my husband and daughter. I love to travel to visit family in Peru and also love traveling to new countries and experiencing the local life as much as possible!
